ABOUT THE ROLE

Our business is the creative, innovative, and elegant design of building services. We work on a rich variety of projects across all building sectors.

We are looking for an Experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team for a Fixed Term Contract, from June 2024 to February 2025 inclusive (9 months, with a possible extension to 12 months.)  

The key responsibilities of the Experienced Financial Accountant role include:

• Gather and monitor financial data.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
• Forecast costs.
• Prepare budget and cash flow reports.
• Budget holder meetings.
• VAT returns and payments to HMRC.
• Prepare prepayments and accruals.
• Organise and complete Audits.
• Perform month end and year end close processes.
• Balance Sheet reconciliation.
• Preparation and completion of statutory accounts.
• Manage revenue recognition and advise on cash flow
• Calculate the practice surplus profit distribution.
• Preparing and posting monthly journals.
• Maintain accounts related wiki pages.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a technically competent Financial Accountant with good Excel skills and have experience managing annual audits. To carry out this role effectively you will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be detail-orientated.

This role requires the ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and to approach challenging situations with sensitivity and understanding.

SALARY

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum (pro-rata)
